This comprises the formal stage of public consultation to inform the production of the SPD. It will enable the Council to secure financial and/or other contributions from particular types of proposed development that will provide benefits to the local community that will be affected by the development. It will also enable potential applicants, developers and, landowners to know in advance what sort of contribution may be sought and/or how much, calculated on the type and size of their development proposal.
Feedback and comments from this consultation will inform the development of criteria and tariffs to be included in the final document that will be proposed for adoption by the Council and replace the existing Planning Obligations Codes of Practice.
